Graphic Design Studio Meets New York State Certification Standards as a Woman-Owned Business

ORCHARD PARK, NY – Tall Girls Design, a boutique marketing and graphic design studio, has been granted status as a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) by the New York State Department of Economic Development, Division of Minority and Women’s Business Development (DMWBD).

“We have been 100% women owned and operated for over thirteen years, and look forward to working on projects we wouldn’t have had the opportunity to do without the WBE Certification,” said Pam Perkins, co-owner of Tall Girls Design.

DNWBD’s standard of certification is designed to confirm the business is at least 51% owned, operated and controlled by a woman or women. The certification process closely examines financial, administrative and organizational details of the company and certifies the legitimacy of the business. By including women-owned businesses among their vendors, corporations and government agencies demonstrate their commitment to fostering diversity and the continued development of their supplier/ vendor diversity programs.

“Since many companies seek out women-owned businesses, this certification definitely adds additional market opportunities. The WBE certification will help get us to the table. Once we’re there, we’re confident our reputation, competitive pricing and quality will earn the business,” said Debbie Oberg, co-owner of Tall Girls Design.
